A research conducted by the University of Essex has led to some very special findings regarding online dating. The study, in which colleagues from Vienna participated, was based on computer models of very realistic societies. The results confirm some real studies from 2012 and confirm that online relationships are better in some ways. The research has not proven the causes of the phenomenon, but is limited to statistically establishing how long a relationship that was born for dating sites lasts, and the risk of breaking up is lower. A study of married people also seems to confirm the data, and it is becoming clear that online marriages are on average happier than traditionally known ones. Researchers suspect a greater interest in continuing a relationship with people who sign up to dating sites. Other hypotheses involve better online compatibility, where the selection is precisely controlled by these parameters.
